Lowestoft Shopmobility runs a membership scheme for people who wish to hire equipment on a regular basis during shop hours opening times without having to leave a deposit. There is a simple application form which takes about 5 minutes to complete.
We also ask people applying to provide two forms of identity showing their current address i.e. Driving licence, utility bills etc.

Annual membership: £15.00
Hire fee per day: £ 4.00

For people wishing to hire a powered vehicle without joining the membership scheme our hire prices are:
Daily Hire (during shop hours only) : £10.00
24 Hour Hire : £ 15.00
Weekly Hire (7 days) : £90.00
(All with a £25.00 deposit)

We have a number of manual wheelchairs available to hire. These are either large wheeled (Self propelled) or small wheeled (Transit). Both come with a cushion for extra comfort. The daily hire fee does include 24hr hire and the wheelchairs can be returned the following day. The manual wheelchair hire fees are:
Hire fee (per day/24hr) £ 10.00
Weekly Hire (7 days) £ 60.00
(All with a £20.00 deposit)

We also hire out Rollators and Tri-Walkers. The daily hire fee does include 24hr hire and the equipment can be returned the following day. The Rollator / Tri-Walker hire fees are:

For holiday makers we offer mobility scooter, powered and manual wheelchair hires to their holiday destinations (on the understanding that powered vehicles are stored under cover and that charging facilities are available). All powered vehicles can be delivered and collected from holiday parks in Gunton Hall, Corton, Hopton, Pakefield, Kessingland, Oulton Broad and Southwold. A charge will be made for delivery/collection and the price will depend on the location. Travel scooters and manual wheelchairs can be collected from and returned to the shop.
